Hartling Consulting Awarded WBDC Ignite Grant to Expand Photo and Video Services
Funding will help the firm broaden its communications offerings with new visual storytelling capabilities
Rocky Hill, Conn., June 8, 2026 — Hartling Consulting, a Connecticut-based communications and public relations firm, has received a $10,000 Ignite Grant from the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC). The funding will allow the firm to purchase equipment and add photography, short-form video, and digital storytelling to its existing writing, public relations, media coaching, and social media services.
WBDC Ignite Grants help women-owned businesses grow, innovate, and develop new revenue streams.“I began my career as a photojournalist, and the Ignite Grant allows my company to leverage those skills to offer a fully integrated storytelling experience with strong visual assets,” said Judy Hartling, owner and principal consultant of Hartling Consulting.
“Small businesses and nonprofits often have limited access to high-quality photo and video content that aligns with their goals, audiences, and brand voice. Thanks to WBDC’s support, we can now provide those services at an affordable price. ”With this new equipment and expanded capabilities, Hartling Consulting will offer clients:

Social media videos, including reels and other short-form content

Interview-style video segments

Visual assets for websites, press kits, and campaigns
Hartling Consulting is one of 50 Ignite Grant recipients and will also receive mentoring, business coaching, and access to WBDC classes.
